ABOUT CLUB TEAMS &
HOW TO JOIN
Club volleyball is a competitive, team-based program that gives athletes the opportunity to train at a higher level and compete in tournaments. We offer Elite/National, Regional, and Developmental teams for players ages 11–18. Tryouts begin in July, and our season runs from Nov/Dec through April or June, depending on the level of the team. To join, players must attend tryouts in their USAV-designated age division, be offered a roster spot, and accept the offer within the designated timeframe.

UNDERSTANDING THE TRYOUT PROCESS
Tryout dates are set by Badger Region and all clubs must host tryouts during the given time frames. Players may tryout for multiple clubs. Each club has their own registration process and fee (our tryout fee is $40). Our tryout dates/times are generally posted in or prior to May. There is no deadline to register other than prior to your player's tryout wave. During tryouts, players will be evaluated by our coaching staff. After evaluations, offers are extended to selected athletes.

USAV MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
All athletes must have a valid USA Volleyball membership to participate in tryouts at any Badger Region Volleyball Association-affiliated club. Families may use a membership from the current/most recent club season (still valid through August 31), purchase a membership for the upcoming season, or obtain a Tryout Membership ($10), which can later be upgraded to a full membership if the athlete accepts a club offer. At check-in, we will verify USAV memberships.
USAV AGE DEFINITIONS
USA Volleyball determines age divisions based on a player’s birth month and year (see the Age Classification Chart). Athletes must try out in the age division they are eligible for and may only be rostered on a team within that age division. Players may not play in a younger age group than their birthdate allows but are permitted to play “up” in an older age division.
IMPORTANT: The parent/guardian/person completing the registration is responsible for reviewing the official USAV age chart to ensure registration for the correct division. If the player is registered for a younger age group than where their birthday aligns, 414 will not be able to roster the player for the offered team and is not responsible for finding them a new team.

OTHER IMPORTANT TRYOUT INFORMATION
IMPORTANT - READ IN FULL:
To streamline check-in, all registration, required forms, and payment must be completed online in advance. Your registration is not complete until payment is submitted at the end of the process. There is a $40 fee to attend 414's tryouts. This is separate from the required USAV membership.
All participants must pre-register on our website and have a valid USA Volleyball (USAV) membership. A 2025–2026 club season membership is valid for summer tryouts, or families may purchase the $10 Badger Region Tryout Membership, which can be upgraded if the athlete accepts a club offer.
Parents/guardians are responsible for registering athletes in the correct USAV age division based on the official Age Definition Chart. Players may always play “up” in an older age group but may never play “down.” If a player is registered in an ineligible (younger) division, 414 cannot roster them on an offered team and is not responsible for placement elsewhere.
414 does not extend retention offers. All roster spots on all teams are available at tryouts.
Tryout registrations may be canceled for a refund prior to midnight on July 17.
If tryout times conflict between clubs and 414 is your first-choice club, we recommend attending ours on July 18 (Day One), as many initial offers are extended that day. Roster decisions continue on July 19 (Day Two), with additional offers made based on team needs and/or as spots become available due to declined offers. After July 19, further offers may be made via phone call, and if necessary, a supplemental tryout may be held on July 25 or 26.
Players may arrive late or leave early if necessary. While not required, attending both tryout sessions for your age group is strongly recommended, as offers are typically extended both days and it allows athletes to see how teams are forming.

TRYOUT REGISTRATION FORM
We are currently finalizing our 2026–27 team structure for our 15s and 16s age groups, including consideration of multiple Elite/National team options at those age levels. Projected team offerings will be shared by the end of April.
It is best to complete the registration form below on a personal computer or mobile device, as company-issued devices often block pop-ups or external forms, which can prevent the form from loading properly or interrupt the payment process.
You do not need a PayPal account to complete registration - PayPal simply processes the payment, and you may check out using a credit or debit card.
